Another year of Finch's Holiday Time Boutique! Whew! We had SUCH a great turn out - thanks to everyone who attended, purchased lovely items, and to those who MADE those lovely items. What a success!
Over all, we had over 230 visitors - 65 in the first hour! - and reached a new record of over $7k. I am also pleased to say that we raised over $500.00 towards American Cancer Society through out artist participant donations! Hooray!

Boutique Day 1 = SUCCESS!

Wow! We had a super busy day of the boutique with over 170 visitors! (65 within the first hour!) The cars started lining up at about 10:45am...
...and our very first shoppers, came out to meet us as soon as Jason "Dr Von Berke" opened the door to greet them with our fun Door-Buster-Give-Aways to the first lucky five.

*Highlight: notice the yellow ribbon in the lower right of this photo? Jason lead a 'Ribbon Cutting Ceremony' to open the boutique! So perfect!

From the time we opened at 11am, we had no fewer than 12 visitors shopping our sale until about 4:30pm.

The snow that began around 2:30ish or so wasn't slowing people down :) And hopefully it doesn't prevents shoppers from visiting us Sunday!

We are BACK ON for Finch's Holiday Time Boutique 2011

After a year off from the Holiday Boutique Scene (not so sure it's a "scene" yet, but it sure will be...) we are back in action and getting ready for December 2011. The dates are set! Sat. Dec. 3rd and Sun Dec. 4th we will be 'boutique-ing' at our new location in Minnetonka. Already our Artist & Designer list is growing - our goal is to reach/beat 2008 of over 40 participants - so come one, come all! Time to make cute stuff! Some of our favorites are back and lots of new faces have joined the boutique crew.
Check out the "in progress" line up for 2011 and PLEASE! Tell everyone you know to come shop in December and pass along the word that we are recruiting for participants.

Well, we keep getting bigger and better every year!! We beat ALL of our last year's numbers and # of visitors by miles! (for reference: last year about 70 people came to visit on the Sat. of the Boutique, and this year 130 visitors came through the Boutique on Sat!

Thank you to all of our Designer and Artist Participants for sharing your creations with us as well as your donations to the American Cancer Society. Especially to Andrew Schiff, our amazing baker, who is donating ALL of his proceeds to our cause. Wow! Thanks!

And thank you to all of our visitors - your support means a ton and we were so pleased to have helped you cross things off your holiday shopping lists!

Special thanks to Bonnie Brynteson for being the #1 biggest-helper-of-all-time - with set-up and planning as well as emotional support. + Special Thanks to Doris Mae Lentner for her lovely cookies and brownies, and to the Boutique "Helpers" who volunteered to take a "shift" during the sale - Kara Phillips, Anna Zahler, Kristy Simmons and Kevin McBride (well...I volunteered him anyway...)

Spring Time Sale 2008

So after 2 successful sales, we decided to test out a Spring Time sale. While most aren't hunting for the perfect gift at this time of year - we thought maybe some Mother's Day traffic would come our way. Our sale was May 3-4 2008 and doubled as a fundraiser for my Relay for Life: Cancer Walk Team that supports the American Cancer Society. Each of the Designer participants donated 10$ and many donated cute items to raffle at the sale. We raised a lot of money for the cause.
We once again, increased the number of designer participating and I even opened up my guest room to accommodate the quantity of items!

Unfortunately, the sale weekend ended up being the very first nice weekend of the year, so most of our visitors were a little bit preoccupied with outdoor stuff, etc. Our number of visitors and sales$$ were about half of what we see for our Holiday Time Sales...Boo!! But now we know - so we won't probably be doing another Spring sale going forward. We'll just focus on Holiday time!

Holiday Boutique 2007

Due to the success of our first sale, we held our second in Dec. 2007. The Artist/Designers Participants list reached around 24!! We really increased the variety of product and over double our visitors and sales$$. Hooray!!

We held our very first Finch's Holiday Boutique in Dec. of '06.There were about 14 of us who created great items for the 2 day sale. The boutique was a HUGE success and really exceeded my expectations for sales and number of visitors. That's a lot of people coming through my house!!
Plus it was SO much fun. Everyone came over, let themselves in and enjoyed cider and tasty, homemade cookies, courtesy of the fabulous Doris Mae Lentner, while perusing the boutique to find lots of gifts for everyone they know.
Thus Finch's Boutique began...
