Our dear friend Emily Brecht is not only a local crafter & designer, she is a mother of 2 small children and devoted wife to Corey. She also has a full time job with Target Corporation in their Home & Hardlines division.
On November 24th, 2014, Emily received some devastating news. At the young age of 34, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. This rocked her family & friends to their core, but Emily is a fighter!! On December 16th, Emily had a double mastectomy to remove both of her breasts. Following this invasive surgery, she under went a hysterectomy, 12 chemotherapy treatments and 30 radiation treatments. In the near future, Emily will also under go reconstructive surgery. While it is a great relief that Emily's cancer is in remission, the medical bills are crippling to her and her young family.
To celebrate the amazing and strong woman that Emily is, we are hosting this sneak preview event in honor of Emily. The ticket sale proceeds will go straight to her and her family and we will be celebrating her in the best way we know how: shopping, friends AND wine!
